The painting above is a large studio oil by Brian Keeler depicting a landscape just north of Ithaca, NY on the Glenwood Heights Road with a view of Cayuga Lake in the distance. This painting was informed by a small studio work done on a January afternoon when it was about 16 degrees. View a video of that plein air session here.
